Is it mandatory to prepare a CDR Report?

Engineers who want to migrate to Australia have to go through Engineers Australia (EA) (the designated assessing authority for engineering occupations) first. The Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) accredits qualifications either from Australia or from countries who are a full signatory to the Sydney Accord, Dublin Accord, or the Washington Accord. Others countries which are not accredited by EA has to submit a Competency Demonstration Report (CDR).This means that if you are an engineer, and want to go to Australia to work/settle as an engineer, then, you have to apply to EA with CDR. EA would then decide whether you are suitable enough to get your dream true or not. The respective authorities of Engineers Australia will thoroughly assess your report, credentials, and acknowledge the details shared by you. If the details are shared is good right now to match the standard of guidelines of authorities, the report will be approved and you will get to work there as an engineer. In simple words, it could be your ticket to getting your Skilled Migration Visa to Australia. The following are the main requirements of a Competency Demonstration Report or CDR report as per Engineers Australia.

  1.  Your personal details including birth certificate, passport bio-data among others
  2.  An updated copy of your resume showing details of employment and education
  3. Evidence of competency in the English language (test results for IELTS)
  4. Educational qualification and/or enrollment certificates, academic transcripts or other documents
  5. Employment documentary evidence
  6. Three career episodes
  7. Summary statement
  8. Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

According to the MSA Booklet, there are five application pathways for migration skills assessment:

 Accredited qualification

 Australian Qualifications

 Washington Accord Qualifications

 Sydney Accord Qualifications

 Dublin Accord Qualifications

 Non-Accredited qualification

 Competency Demonstration Report (CDR)

If your qualification is accredited to the Engineers Australia, you do not need to write a CDR report and can directly apply under the mentioned qualification pathway. Whereas if your qualifications are not accredited by the engineers Australia or from a non-Accord listed country, then Competency Demonstration Report is a must in order to get a work visa.

In Addition, if your qualification is obtained the same year or after the country became a signatory to the relevant accord (Washington, Dublin, Sydney), and if your qualification is listed as fully accredited according to the signatory’s published listing and the date of the qualification matches the listed accredited dates, then you can apply under the respective qualification pathway.

We provide a number of exemplary CDR samples for different engineering disciplines at economical prices. These samples are already assessed and recommended by Engineers Australia. Our technical Writers who prepare CDR Samples hold Engineering degrees. They have wide and profound knowledge in the engineering field. Our CDR samples are up to date and can be easily applied for the creation of your own CDR.
